Property Inspections

Where appropriate, regular inspections can be an excellent deterrent against security breaches and provide a sufficient and adequate cover to fulfil landlords insurance requirements where required.

With a Void Property comes many issues such as frozen pipes, broken windows and potential problems with power supply issues to Alarms both security and fire. Providing regular onsite information can prove vital in ensuring small problems don’t become major issues.

Mobile staff can also accompany any outside visitors, for example contractors or estate agents on to the property so that you need not be disturbed and the site visitor are accompanied at all times ensuring security for both the building and the contents.

Carrying out a standard inspection of a site we will carry checks of:

  • Fire exits and all doors – often, security breaches are planned in advance, fire exits for example, are opportune places for intruders to gain unauthorised access to a building. We will check that all exterior doors have no signs of damage and that they are secure and in the event of a security issue, we will contact locksmiths and maintenance crews to repair any problems or ask the security guard to remain on site.
  • Alarm sensors – these are vital to any alarm system if tampered with, can render the system useless. Our inspection teams check the place and activation of all PIR (Passive Infrared Sensors) so, in the case of a breach, the alarm system will work as designed.
  • Rubbish – Rubbish that is left on a site can seriously put off potential clients as well as encourages unwanted pests and vermin and the requisite pest control costs. Our guards and inspectors will make a report of any rubbish left either internally or externally, and if requires, we shall arrange for a clean-up team to dispose of any rubbish.
  • Utilities – Our security guards will monitor and report meter readings at every inspection.
  • Damp/mould – A damp/ mould analysis is carried out with every inspection. At first sight of either, a report is created and sent to the client. We aim to help prevent water damage in advance.
  • Health and safety – Our guards are trained in rudimentary health and safety procedures and will notify our control room if any of the basic Health and Safety laws have been breached.
